New hospital in Jacksonville celebrates its opening
Jacksonville, Arkansas – Jacksonville has been undergoing renovations for more than two years and have spent $8 million on them.
Unity Health, based in Searcy, celebrated the opening of its most recent cutting-edge facility on Wednesday.
Early March is the planned opening date for the brand-new hospital on Braden Street.
It will have a 24-bed inpatient behavioral health unit, a diagnostic imaging department with MRIs, a 13-bed emergency room, an on-site lab, and a pharmacy.
The first phase, according to Unity Health President and CEO Mark Amox, has just begun.
“The most important thing is what this means to our neighbors and it’s not only bringing health care to the community, but it’s also jobs,” Amox said. The new facility will bring nearly 200 jobs.
The following stage will involve adding services in accordance with community demands.
