Number of hospitalized Arkansans goes over 1,100, daily cases still pretty high

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The number of Covid-19 cases has slightly dropped on Saturday, but it still remains pretty high as ADH released the latest daily report.
Health experts say that the increasing number of hospitalized people right now seems to be the biggest issue as the number of available beds is lowering across Arkansas hospitals.
Arkansas Department of Health reported 1,339 new positive Covid-19 cases on Saturday and 18 additional deaths.
This brings the total number of cases to 386,452 since the start of the pandemic and 6,141 confirmed deaths as a result of the virus.
The current number of active cases reaches 18,790 which is 249 more compared to previous day.
Health officials warn everyone to wear mask and get vaccinated as soon as possible since the number of hospitalized people reached 1,105 and the number of available beds in hospitals is limited.
Additionally, three more people were added on ventilators since yesterday and now the number jumps to 222.
The positive news in the report is that more and more people decide to get the shot against Covid-19 since almost 13,000 doses of the vaccines were administrated since yesterday.
This is what Arkansas Governor said on Twitter in regards of the latest Covid-19 report:
Today’s report provides us with some good news on the vaccine front. Almost 13,000 doses administered helps us get closer to our goal, but the continued, steady increase in hospitalizations puts a strain on our health care workers.
