Official charges against William Asa Hutchinson III in Benton County

Little Rock, Arkansas – William Asa Hutchinson III, the son of the former governor of Arkansas, has been formally accused by Benton County prosecutors.

47-year-old Hutchison is accused of possessing a controlled substance, engaging in drunken driving a second time, and refusing to submit to a chemical test.

Hutchinson was detained on drug-related accusations on January 13.

The Arkansas Supreme Court later in January suspended Hutchison’s legal credentials.

The court wrote in its court order that Hutchinson “presently poses a substantial threat of serious harm to the public and to his clients if he continues to practice law.”
