On its 83rd anniversary, North Little Rock will host the Pearl Harbor Memorial
North Little Rock, Arkansas – On the occasion of the 83rd anniversary of the assault on Pearl Harbor, North Little Rock has organized a memorial occasion to be held on December 7th.
The Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum, located at 120 Riverfront Drive in North Little Rock, will be the location of the event, which will take place on December 7 at 11:58 a.m.
North Little Rock Mayor Terry Hartwick, Commander Sterling D. “Rooster” Claypoole of the United States Navy, and Dr. Joe Manning, ETC (SS) of the United States Navy Retired, are among the state and local leaders who are there.
According to the officials, Arkansas is one of two locations, the other being Honolulu, Hawaii, where ships were present during the beginning and the end of World War II. Officials from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs have stated that out of the millions of people who served, there are currently 119,550 veterans of the Second World War who are still alive.
The state of Arkansas is home to around 1,144 veterans of World War II, according to the reports.
