One person is killed in a Pine Bluff house fire
Pine Bluff, Arkansas – A house fire that started early Monday morning in Pine Bluff has claimed one life.
At 3:31 a.m., firefighters were sent to a house fire in the 1000 block of S. Pennsylvania Street, according to Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services officials.
When firefighters arrived on the site, they reported that smoke was coming from the front of the house and that the house was completely engulfed in flames. According to officials, fire crews were informed that one occupant was still inside the house even though some of the residents were outside.
After putting out the fire, crews discovered a person in a bedroom near the front. According to officials, the fire’s injuries caused the victim’s death.
According to officials, the fire seemed to have originated from a space heater in the bedroom where the corpse was discovered.
The victim’s identification has not yet been made public.
