Over 100 musicians planned for the ATU Alumni and Community Christmas Concert
Little Rock, Arkansas – The ATU Alumni and Community Christmas Concert, which will feature more than 100 artists, will be held for the first time on December 23 by the Arkansas Tech University Department of Music.
At 7:30 p.m., a concert will be held at Russellville’s Witherspoon Auditorium at 407 West Q Street.
“I’m so excited about the incredible folks that are playing in this group, ranging in ages from 12 to more than 70,” said Dr. Daniel A. Belongia, ATU professor of music and director of bands. “Russellville area friends, please mark your calendar for a very fun evening of Christmas favorites. It’s going to be jolly.”
Pieces scheduled for performance include “Christmas Festival” by Leroy Anderson, “Greensleeves” by Alfred Reed, “Very Merry Heart and Soul” by Julie Giroux, “Stille Nacht (Silent Night)” as arranged by Mannheim Steamroller, “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” as arranged by Julie Giroux, “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” as arranged by Jack Bullock and “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson.
The public is welcome to attend the program for free.
