Park Plaza’s Denim Days will launch a new recycling program to assist local survivors
Little Rock, Arkansas – A denim recycling program lasting two weeks is in route to Park Plaza Mall in Little Rock.
During Denim Days, customers of Park Plaza will be able to donate their used jeans to participating Park Plaza stores. The promotion is scheduled to launch on Monday, July 15, and run through July 30.
The denim will be given to Women & Children First, a Little Rock group that supports victims of sexual assault, domestic abuse, and human trafficking, along with other apparel donations.
Camilo Varela, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Second Horizon Capital, claims that the initiative would present clients with an excellent chance to support their local community.
“Park Plaza is focused on making a difference in our community and Denim Days offers a great opportunity to have a meaningful impact,” Varela said. “Our shoppers get to help some of our most vulnerable neighbors through Women & Children First, and their recycled denim will help our environment by keeping textile waste out of landfills.”
Additionally, retailers will accept donations of merchandise from brands including Eddie Bauer, H&M, Buckle, and Altar’d State.
At Park Plaza, contribution receptacles will be located on each floor.
All donors will receive 15% off of in-store purchases at H&M.
Additionally, donors have the opportunity to win an up-cycled denim item from American Butt Clothing in New York, which refurbishes used denim to fit current trends.
All contributions will be given to Women & Children First on August 3rd at the Back-to-School Bash at Park Plaza.
