Participate in the Be A Part of the Cure Walk to support cancer patients, survivors, and families
Little Rock, Arkansas – Thousands of walkers will congregate in Little Rock in less than two weeks to demonstrate support for cancer patients, survivors, and families.
On May 6 at 8 a.m., the War Memorial Stadium will host the Be A Part of the Cure Walk. At 6:30 a.m., the gates will open. Donna Terrell, FOX 16 News Anchor, will serve as the event’s emcee.
Globally, the incidence of cancer in adults under 50 is rising. Why?
A 1K or 5K course is available to walkers, both of which are stroller and wheelchair accessible. The 5K route passes past the stadium and outdoor golf course, while the 1K route is situated near to the War Memorial Stadium.
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute is the event’s sponsor. More than $300,000 has been raised through the event, all of which will support cancer research in Arkansas.
The CARTI Salute fundraiser helps cancer sufferers.
