Pine Bluff police identified Sunday’s shooting victim, released the shooter, report

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – One person was shot to death on Sunday in what appeared to be the 22nd homicide in the city of Pine Bluff.

As we already reported, 22-year-old male victim was shot to death to the Camelot Apartments at 4001 Old Warren Road Sunday morning by a 67-year-old man who surrendered to the authorities and turned over the weapon.

Police took the shooter into custody and he was questioned during the day. Right after the questioning, he was released.

According to the police, the shooter, whose identity was not released, shot to death the 22-year-old Norris Perry of West Memphis in self-defense.

Sources at the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office confirm that the shooter was released and that their office supports the move made by the Pine Bluff Police Department.

The investigation for the case is still ongoing.
