Police in Little Rock investigating the 80th homicide in the city this year

Little Rock, Arkansas – The 80th homicide in the city was reported by Little Rock police on Monday, who said they are looking into a shooting that has since turned into a homicide investigation.

Valandus Rashone Jackson, the shooting victim, passed away from his wounds on Friday, according to a police report released on Monday.

This is the 80th homicide in Little Rock.

According to the police, on December 10 there were “shots fired” in the 2900 block of Battery Street.

While on the way, police received word that a complainant in a Mercedes had injured her foot close to the location.

When police arrived, they discovered Jackson slumped over in the driver’s seat of the car with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

He was then sent to a neighborhood hospital.
