Police in West Memphis looking into a homicide
Little Rock, Arkansas – The Sunday homicide is being looked into by the West Memphis Police Department.
According to a social media post by the police, officers were sent to the 2900 Block of S.L. Henry at around 2.49 p.m. after receiving a report from police dispatch stating that an unidentified subject had been shot.
Authorities claim that when cops arrived, they found a black man with several gunshot wounds, subsequently identified as Kaveyon Caruthers.
EMS arrived on the site to try to save his life, however, he passed away from his wounds.
The Criminal Investigative Division’s detectives arrived on the scene to start their investigation.
Police stated that no arrests have yet been made and that the investigation is still ongoing.
