Police officer in North Little Rock placed on leave after using force during an incident

North Little Rock, Arkansas – Following reports that an officer discharged their weapon during an incident in the 5000 block of Velvet Ridge on Saturday night, North Little Rock police have launched an investigation.

According to representatives of the North Little Rock Police Department, the event took place not long after officers responded to a report of shots fired and discovered numerous male males carrying weapons.

Four of the suspects in this event, according to the police, have now been taken into custody, and the officer has been placed on administrative leave.

According to NLRPD officials, no officers were hurt in the incident, however one of the suspects is being treated at a local hospital for unrelated injuries.
