Reactions from the locals following a teen’s fatal train collision in Beebe
Beebe, Arkansas – A 15-year-old kid from Beebe High School was killed by a train that struck and demolished his body. The incident is being investigated by the police in Beebe.
The incident occurred while he was on his way home from school, according to the school district, following his parent or guardian’s prior, necessary consent for him to check out during school hours.
The teenager was struck on Thursday morning at roughly 9:30 a.m., according to Beebe police. When authorities arrived, they discovered the adolescent had passed away.
The Beebe School District reports that the inquiry is being handled by Union Pacific Railroad Police. According to a company representative, the incident took place at South Fir and Idaho Streets rather than at a railroad crossing.
His family received condolences from the district, police, and onlookers who witnessed the train stop for hours.
Parent of two pupils in the district Karlye Mingues said she got chills when she initially found out it was an adolescent who had passed away.
“To know that they lost their son today, and that could have been my kids in a few years.” “I am simply broken,” she murmured. “I am really sad for that family; it gives me goosebumps.”
Not long before 1 p.m., the train passed, leaving many residents in shock. Before he could cross, William Langley was stranded on one side of the rails for three and a half hours.
Langley remarked, “That’s sad.” “These high school students, who are attending school and other things, are our future generation,”
“The way the trains run through here is just too many people getting hurt, it’s just scary,” Mingues continued.
According to Union Pacific, they are investigating the incident’s cause in conjunction with the local authorities. According to Beebe police, some of the answer will be uncovered by looking at video cameras.
