Slight increase in new Covid-19 cases and active cases, but the situation in Arkansas remains stable

Little Rock, Arkansas – After several weeks of positive reports, Arkansas Department of Health reported slight increase in new and active cases in the latest Covid-19 issued on Saturday.

According to the report, Arkansas added 887 new Covid-19 cases across the state and 21 additional deaths.

With the latest numbers, Arkansas recorded a total of 502,405 cases and 7,831 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

Currently, there are 7,833 active cases which is 166 more compared to the previous day.

Counties with the most reported cases are Washington, Pulaski and Benton adding 65, 60 and 54 respectively.

There are 553 people in hospital which is 10 less compared to Friday’s report. 171 patients are on ventilator, 4 less compared to the day before.

According to ADH, 9,694 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines were administrated in the past 24 hours.

After several weeks of positive reports, we saw a disturbing number of deaths to COVID-19 today, and a slight increase in active cases. A good reminder that we need to continue fight this virus.
