State legislators from Arkansas participate in the charity basketball game “Hoops for Kids’ Sake”
Little Rock, Arkansas – Wednesday night, lawmakers from Arkansas went to court to solicit donations for charity.
The “Hoops for Kids’ Sake” charity basketball event pitted state senators against state legislators. For the fifth consecutive year, the Senate came out on top.
Through its mentoring program, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas seeks to keep students on the course.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas and Children’s Advocacy Centers of Arkansas both benefit from the game’s proceeds.
A nonprofit organization called Big Brothers Big Sisters is committed to developing one-on-one mentoring connections with young people in need.
The game started in 2013, and since then, it has raised more than $200,000.
