Students have fun in the snow before school begin
Jonesboro, Arkansas – Students at Arkansas State were able to walk outside and enjoy the snow because it brought them back a little early.
When students returned to Arkansas State University earlier than expected due to over six inches of snow, they made the most of the snow day.
After driving from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Leah Stout discovered a wintry paradise and went sledding with her pals.
All of our clothing are filthy and drenched through, but I believe it was worth it. “This is just a lot of extra time with friends and it’s really pretty and it’s really fun,” she remarked.
A similar thought crossed the minds of Kalee Page and others, who headed to the Marion Berry overpass to tear down the slope.
Since it was my first year here, I must admit that I was a little nervous about the snow, but overall, it was enjoyable, Page said.
Even though classes don’t start until Monday, some students laid down their books after witnessing the excitement from their dorms.
“I’ve had a great time. According to Yasmine, a first-year student at NYIT, “Sometimes we’re just like tired of studying.”
Although Deandre, a native of Boston, has seen snow before, her friend Zaineb, who is from Texas, witnessed her first snowfall.
“This was a really good experience because there is never any snow where I live,” said Zaineb, a first-year student at NYIT.
There were other Texans who experienced their first snowfall. San Antonio native Nyima Williams couldn’t help but join in on the fun.
She remarked, “I’m all jolly and happy and stuff I don’t know how to act, like a kid in a candy store.” “I love it, and I’ve been running around jumping in it.”
Students might still be out enjoying the snow even if the campus won’t be open for another few days.
“If it’s like this, I’ll be out here all day,” Zaineb declared.
