Suspect in Northeast AR manhunt taken into custody
Little Rock, Arkansas – Police in Hardy on Tuesday apprehended a man who was on the run and wanted by many organizations.
Around 12:30 a.m., Anthony Caplinger was reportedly arrested at a McDonald’s.
At 7:30 on Monday night, Caplinger and a lady were discovered inside a vacant house on Booth Road, according to Hardy police.
The female allegedly informed the officers that there was another man off before the cops showed up.
Authorities claimed that Caplinger had escaped into the Slayton Road woods while carrying a tiny firearm.
After asking a resident for water, who allegedly alerted police, Caplinger was last seen at 5:45 p.m., according to police.
The search was aided by deputies from Sharp and Fulton County as well as officers from the Highland and Hardy Police Departments.
U.S. Marshal Services were informed by the Hardy Police Department that Caplinger was wanted on numerous warrants issued outside of California.
The Fulton County Detention Center received Caplinger.
