The city announces the neighborhood clean-up day for October
Jonesboro, Arkansas – Another month, another chance to get rid of stuff you don’t need.
This month’s neighborhood clean-up will take place at the Parker Park Community Center, located at 1506 North Church St., according to the City of Jonesboro. On Saturday, October 12, from 8 a.m. to noon, it will take place.
The city has collected 599 tires and 74.24 tons of trash so far this year.
Items that will be accepted and those that won’t include:
ACCEPTED
• Clothes
• Tires (limit 8, no rims)
• Basketball goals
• Furniture (chairs, beds, tables, printers, mattresses, TVs, computers, etc.)
• Appliances – dryers, washers, stoves, water heaters, refrigerators, etc. (freon and compressor must be removed)
• Paint cans (empty of all pain, lids must be removed, residue must be dry)
NOT ACCEPTED
• Yard waste/limbs
• Tractor/semi tires
• Hazmat materials (oils, fluids, batteries, flammable or corrosive materials, automotive parts, motors, transmissions)
• Remodeling/construction materials (single pieces acceptable)
