The marching band of UAPB gets ready for their show at War Memorial Stadium
Pine Bluff, Arkansas – At War Memorial Stadium on Thursday, football fans will assemble to support either the UAPB Golden Lions or the Arkansas Razorbacks. However, there will also be spectators enjoying the sights and sounds of UAPB’s marching band as they prepare ready for the big game.
John Graham Jr., the band director, says the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Marching Musical Machine of the Mid-South is getting ready for an amazing show.
Graham remarked, “You’re going to see a world-class show.”
According to Graham, this marching band has more members than the last one, but they are still working to maintain their flawless harmony.
It requires a lot of conditioning because our halftime act involves sprinting as quickly as you can while blowing air through a trumpet, according to Graham.
Brian King, a French horn musician, stated that there is a great deal of enthusiasm and expectation for the big day.
“One band, one sound, like the movie says,” King remarked. “I’m excited and motivated to keep going because of the excitement surrounding this game in particular, the crowd, and their sheer energy.”
According to trombonist Everett Tobler, he is thrilled to be performing at the War Memorial.
“We’ll be performing in one of the most crowded arenas of the year,” Tobler stated.
M4 Golden Girls dancer Taylor Blackmon expressed her excitement about performing with her squad.
Like other great halftime shows, this one will be no exception with this band.
Graham added, “You have to come and see.”
