The most popular vehicles in Arkansas are trucks from Ford, Chevrolet, and GMC
Little Rock, Arkansas – Arkansas is known as “truck country,” with pickup trucks being the most common type of car there.
The Ford F-150, with 93,200 registrations, is the most popular vehicle in the state for 2023, according to the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration. With 88,931 owners, the Chevrolet Silverado comes in second, followed by the GMC Sierra with 60,626 owners.
This indicates a shift in the hierarchy. The Silverado was Arkansas’ top-selling car in 2021, according to a DFA survey, ahead of the F-150 in second place and the Sierra in third.
The list indicates that trucks are the most popular type of vehicle in the state, but it is maybe unexpected to see another one gain ground.
“Unsurprisingly, this list certainly confirms Arkansas is a truck state,” DFA spokesman Scott Hardin said. “However, we are seeing continued growth in electric vehicles. Approximately 3,200 Arkansans currently drive a Tesla.”
According to Hardin, 2.75 million automobiles are registered in Arkansas.
