The number of active Covid-19 cases in Arkansas declines, number of total deaths surpasses 8,000 as a result of data correction

Arkansas – The Covid-19 situation seems stable in Arkansas and the trend continues over the weekend with the newest numbers reported.

According to Arkansas Department of Health’s report issued on Sunday, Arkansas added 467 new Covid-19 confirmed cases.

With the latest addition, the total number of cases reached 502,872 since the start of the pandemic.

ADH reported a total of 289 new deaths, but the number is very high as a result of data correction since the start of the pandemic.

With the latest deaths number, the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic reached 8,120 deaths.

There are 237 active cases less from Saturday and the number of active cases sits at 7,596.

There are 548 people hospitalized people and 161 on ventilators. We are seeing drop in both numbers compared to Saturday. The number of hospitalizations dropped by 5, while 10 people less were reported to be on ventilator support.

Counites with the most reported cases are Union, Pulaski and Miller reporting 54, 38 and 34 cases respectively.

Total of 3,108 doses of the vaccines were administrated in the last 24 hours.
