The number of active Covid-19 cases in Arkansas remains under 10,000 as Gov. Asa Hutchinson urges those eligible to get the booster shot
Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The state of Arkansas is seriously recovering from the most recent Delta wave and the numbers are confirming the positive situation across the state.
According to the latest report issued by the Arkansas Department of Health on Saturday, Arkansas recorded 642 new positive cases and 6 additional Covid-19 related deaths.
The total number of positive cases since the start of the pandemic now reached 497,576, while the total number of deaths is 7,724.
The number of active cases remains under 10,000 as the number decreased by 87 from the day before, now sitting at 9,901 cases.
Arkansas Department of Health said that 12,349 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines were administrated in the state in the last 24 hours.
The Arkansas counties with the most positive cases in the report are:
- Pulaski – 88 cases
- Benton – 67 cases
- Washington – 59 cases
There are 689 people in hospital, 14 less compared to the Friday’s report. The number of people on ventilators now stands at 183, which is 7 less compared to yesterday.
