Arkansas – The daily Covid-19 number seem to be stable and pretty high, but alarming thing is once again the number of hospitalizations which is on the rise.

In the latest Covid-19 report issued on Wednesday, Arkansas added 2,890 new confirmed cases and 32 deaths.

With the latest updates, the total number of active cases is currently 22,814 which is 392 more compared to the previous day.

Since the start of the pandemic, Arkansas reported a total of 6,969 deaths as a result of the virus and 455,781 positive cases.

What is alarming is the fact that the number of hospitalizations rose once again reaching 1,313, which is increase by 101 compared to Tuesday’s report.

A slight relief is coming from the number of patients on ventilators which is now 357, 37 less that Tuesday.

Counties with the most cases reported yesterday are Washington, Benton and Pulaski reporting 366, 200 and 194 cases respectively.

The number of vaccinated people on a daily remains still pretty high. A total of 12,429 people were vaccinated in the last 24 hours.

This is what Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson said on Twitter:

Today’s COVID report shows an increase of 101 hospitalizations. While this number is startling, some of these were due to a data correction. Our vaccine reports through the weekdays are holding well, but we need to continue getting shots in the arms of Arkansans.
