There will be a new veterinary school constructed at Lyon College
Cabot, Arkansas – When a college decides to start a new veterinary school, more opportunities become permanent.
Students at Lyon College will soon experience significant adjustments.
A new College of Veterinary Medicine will be established on the campus of Arkansas State University and Lyon College.
The new College of Veterinary School is one of the almost $48 million in capital projects that the ASU Board of Trustees approved in September.
The new Lyon College of School of Veterinary Medicine, which will be housed at Cabot, has a finalized lease.
Melissa Taverner, president of Lyon College, stated, “What we’re actually doing is working together to develop a campus that will have Cabot animal support services and Lyon College School of Veterinary Medicine on the same campus.”
The school intends to open its brand-new College of Veterinary Medicine to students in 2026.
