Benton, Arkansas – The largest free Christian music festival in the country is taking place this weekend in Benton, drawing tens of thousands of attendees. This concert represents a new phase in a different journey for a group of women—the road to rehabilitation.

Ready to amplify a Christian music event in Benton, the fans are densely packed.

Women like Abigail Gathright who volunteer for the John 3:17 ministry organization are wearing orange t-shirts.

Gathright described it as “yearlong faith-based ministry for women with addictions.”
Through John 3:17, these women discovered the Lord and are currently in recovery.
According to Sylvana Rhoads, there’s more to this concert than merely listening to Christian music.

“I’m just getting closer to him; I’m not smoking or doing drugs anymore,” Rhoads declared.
It’s the first sober concert for some people. According to Kasey Carmona, the group helped save her life.

Years ago, Carmona stated, “I could never have imagined that I would be at a Christian concert, sober, serving and helping people.”

According to festival director Josh Turner, their assistance in spreading the word has always been the intention.

“Its goal is to reach as many people as possible with the gospel of Jesus Christ, his death, burial, and resurrection,” Turner explained.

Christany Price reported a life-changing experience.

“Having clean fun is something I wasn’t used to, but it’s nice to know that I can live again,” Price remarked.
