United Way holds pickleball tournament
Jonesboro, Arkansas – At the Red Wolf Center on Saturday, September 14, United Way of Northeast Arkansas hosted a pickleball tournament for the benefit of the community.
There were a lot of individuals who signed up to give their support to United Way and the community by participating in the event, playing in teams, and having a nice time.
According to Annalisa Meredith, who works for United Way, companies all around the city contribute to United Way events in their own unique ways.
She stated, “I am a member of Team Red for United Way, and we participated in a pickleball tournament.” She was referring to the fact that, “Different businesses throughout town will loan us an employee to help us out at United Way to raise funds at various events throughout the year.”
The money that is raised will be put back into the nine counties and communities that are served by United Way.
