Warning Covid-19 numbers in Arkansas, the rise in daily cases continues

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The Arkansas Department of Health released the latest Covid-19 daily report on Tuesday, June 29.
According to the report, Arkansas reported a total of 479 new confirmed positive cases in the last 24 hours. The same added 8 more Covid-19 related deaths.
Since the start of the pandemic, the total number of cases now reached 348,669. The total number of deaths with those reported today reaches 5,905.
The total number of active cases is currently 3,365, which is for 196 more compared to yesterday.
The numbers are increasing again as a result of the Delta variant which is known to be the most contagious variant discovered so far. Gov. Asa Hutchinson and state health officials urged Arkansas who are not yet vaccinated to get the vaccine as soon as possible in order to prevent a new wave and even higher daily cases.
