UA Little Rock dedicates new Bernhard Student Club Headquarters
Little Rock, Arkansas – The construction program at UA Little Rock now has a new residence.
The new Bernhard student club offices, a recently refurbished area dedicated to student clubs in the department of Construction Management and Civil and Construction Engineering, were unveiled by university officials on Thursday morning.
Arkansas history is shared at the UA Little Rock Center for History and Culture.
UA Little Rock students, notably Magen Schlesier, who developed and presented the makeover as part of a project her senior year, collaborated with Bernhard to create the headquarters.
She said it is emotional to see the finished space.
“This is a space that can be used now, it’s a home for student chapters and our student clubs for the construction department and so that’s an incredible thing,” Schlesier said. “I was almost in tears because it really evoked a huge emotional reaction out of me to see, it kind of made it real that it’s finished.”
Students from all throughout the region will be able to connect, collaborate on projects, and network at the headquarters.
