College student in Arkansas designs and donates prom dresses
Little Rock, Arkansas – A college student in Little Rock is making her ambition of helping other people come true by sewing, which is the activity that she enjoys doing the most.
Echo Mitchell, who was born and raised in Fox, Arkansas, has the desire to bring a smile to the faces of a great number of young girls since prom season is just around the horizon.
In the year 2020, Mitchell stated that she launched her company, which was called “Design by Echo,” and that she also started her passion project through the company.
“The fairy godmother project is the prom dress project,” she said. “I started getting more and more dresses through purchasing myself or donations and it was kind of a goal of mine to give back.”
Mitchell, who is now a freshman at the University of Central Arkansas, attended an event that she organized called Prom Dress Shopping. She stated that the event was founded to assist individuals who were unable to buy a dress or did not like to spend money on one. Mitchell brought along one hundred dresses that were given to the event.
Mitchell expressed her desire to maintain the practice of giving away dresses in the years to come.
