Pine Bluff held a unique Men’s Health Expo with a side of football
Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Residents of Pine Bluff had a unique opportunity over the weekend – catching up on the Razorback game while gathering essential information on healthy living. The Jefferson Regional Jones-Dunklin Cancer Center hosted its Men’s Health Expo right on the hospital grounds.
While the game served as an added entertainment, the spotlight was on the various health screenings and valuable information being dispensed. Kathy Ross, the director of the event, expressed enthusiasm about the range of exams available. She noted, “We’ve got all kinds of testing going on out here – body mass index, cholesterol, blood pressure, PSA’s, lung cancer screening, mammography; just a ton of good stuff.” The purpose was clear: to ensure both men and women in the community have access to essential health checks.
The event wasn’t just about health, though. Attendees also enjoyed door prizes, games, and food, making it a wholesome community gathering. Supporting this noble cause were local sponsors like the Pine Bluff Country Club and Sissy’s Log Cabin, showcasing the community’s collective drive for better health awareness.
