The number of new Covid-19 cases in Arkansas remains steady, vaccination continues with the average rate, report
Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The numbers of new Covid-19 confirmed cases in Arkansas on Tuesday remains steady, while the vaccination continues with the average pace.
According to the Tuesday’s Covid-19 report issues by the Arkansas Department of Health, Arkansas added 733 new cases and 15 additional deaths.
With the latest numbers, Arkansas reached a total of 503,822 cases and 8,147 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
There are 6,806 active cases which is 83 less compared to the Monday’s report.
The numbers of hospitalized people and patients are also declining. That said, there are currently 537 hospitalized patients which is 8 less comparted to Monday. Four people less were reported to be on ventilator support now reaching a total of 160.
The vaccination continues with the similar pace for this period. According to the report, 6,239 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines were administrated in the last 24 hours.
Benton, Pulaski and Washington are the counties with the most cases reported adding 71, 67 and 49 respectively.
“It seems we are at a plateau with new cases, steady but not declining. I am hopeful this will improve. Also, our vaccination rate is slowing, and I trust that will improve as well,” Gov. Hutchinson said on Twitter.
