A filmmaker from Arkansas enjoys the big screen premiere on opening night
Jonesboro, Arkansas – The film is being screened in six Arkansas communities, including Jonesboro.
Daniel Hanna, a native of Bentonville, wrote and directed the movie “Hard Miles.” More than 500 theaters nationwide, including the Malco Jonesboro Towne Cinema, will screen the movie.
The initial Jonesboro screening took place on Friday, April 19, at 7:30 p.m.
Hanna claimed he was surprised the film was playing in his state of residence. He claimed that until a few weeks ago, everything was up in the air.
“Now we’re in six theaters across the state so that’s great,” Hanna said. “It’s awesome for people I grew up with or who work with my parents to go and see it.”
Malco claims that Hard Miles is based on the true story of a prison social worker who organizes juvenile inmates into a cycling team and leads them on a life-changing 1,000-mile cycle journey.
According to Hanna, the movie will play for a couple of weeks at the Jonesboro Malco.
