Pine Bluff police searching for suspect in Pine Bluff homicide

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – he Pine Bluff Police Department is actively seeking assistance from the public to locate Darryell Semaj Lerone Bell, a 20-year-old man, also known as “DP.” Bell is wanted in connection with a homicide that claimed the life of 21-year-old Cedric Hawkins.

A Tragic Incident and Ongoing Investigation

The incident occurred in the early hours of November 1, around 1:00 a.m., at the Saint John’s Apartments in Pine Bluff. Upon their arrival, police officers discovered Hawkins, who had been shot, lying in the apartment complex’s parking lot. Despite their efforts, Hawkins was pronounced dead at the scene, marking a tragic loss.

In a significant development, 24-year-old Raheem Morehead was recently arrested in connection with Hawkins’ murder. Morehead turned himself in and has been booked into the W.C. Dub Brassell Detention Center on charges of capital murder.

Description of the Wanted Suspect

Darryell Semaj Lerone Bell, the man now sought by the police, is described as being 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. His last known location was the 1400 block of Boston Drive in Pine Bluff. Bell is facing charges of first-degree murder, adding urgency to his apprehension.
