Students can get free haircuts at school
Jonesboro, Arkansas – The Jonesboro Pre-K Program provided free haircuts to the students’ siblings as well.
On Thursday, March 28, the school located at 1307 Flint Street hosted the “Cuts for Little Canes” event.
“This is our fourth year to have this, and we are providing this service for our parents to bring their children and the students and siblings are here to get a free haircut tonight,” said Teacher Kendra Mcfarland.
Students in Pre-K and North were served by licensed beauticians and barbers.
Having held this event for four years, McFarland clarified that they must assist parents in getting all of their kids together for free haircuts before Easter.
“We just feel like it’s something we can help the parents out where in one place we can bring all the children and family and get a free haircut before Easter,” McFarland said.
About sixty-three people attended the ceremony, but McFarland assured others who missed it not to worry.
“If you missed out ‘Cuts for Little Canes’ will be here again next year,” she said.
