Little Rock, Arkansas – At its Artist-in-Residence event, the University of Central Arkansas will welcome Christian Meyer, an award-winning filmmaker and musician, and Sue Schroeder, the creator of over 100 original dance pieces.

Schroeder is regarded as a progressive arts activist and mentor, and his work is internationally recognized.

During the event, Core Dance’s founding artistic director will talk on maintaining physical activity and how it may help deal with life’s challenges.

“Sue Schroeder has been able to visit UCA for an extended period of time on three previous occasions to work with local artists on this once-in-a-lifetime dance/theater/film performance in honor of the April 8 total solar eclipse. The Community Foundation has also made it possible for Berlin-based composer and video artist Christian Meyer to attend this exciting residency,” said Gayle Seymour, associate dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

There are several ways to watch Christian Meyer’s solo and group exhibitions.

Meyer’s success in theater and television has led to honors from the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in London and the Association of German Film Critics.
