Dog show competition for Jonesboro dogs
Jonesboro, Arkansas – Owners were able to showcase their pets at an amateur dog show.
On Saturday, March 9, several locals attended The Fun Dog Show at the Jonesboro Elks Lodge. Competing in categories including Best Big and Small Breed, Cutest Puppy, Best Bark, and Best Dog Trick, dog owners flaunted their beloved animals.
Nicole Frakes, a dog mom from Jonesboro, brought Hope and Bootsie, her two Great Danes. The biggest dog present was Hope. According to Frakes, she is 192 pounds.
“They just love getting out and walking around and visiting with people,” Frakes said. “[Hope] will love on everybody, but [Bootsie] is a little cranky.”
According to Frakes, her dogs participate in the dog show each year.
The judges grinned at every canine, but only one could take home the grand prize. The dog that placed first in Best In Show was awarded a unique fire hydrant trophy.
