During an arrest, Beebe police officers utilize Flock Safety license plate recognition cameras
Beebe, Arkansas – Recently, Beebe police investigators investigated a suspect car connected to several robberies using Flock Safety License Plate Recognition (LPR) cameras, which resulted in an arrest.
Following reports of a robbery, police were called to a nearby Dollar General. Investigators examined surveillance footage and spoke with onlookers to get a description of the car the suspect drove away.
After that, the officers correctly identified the car by questioning neighboring Flock Safety LPRs for any vehicles that fit the description and had been spotted close to the crime scene at the time of the incident.
A motion-activated camera that captures an image of a vehicle’s license plate is known as license plate recognition technology.
After that, it makes comparisons with various state and federal databases, such as the Amber Alert database and the FBI Crime Information Center.
Then, law enforcement officials ascertain whether the car was reported stolen, connected to a wanted person, or involved in any recent offenses.
More than five thousand law enforcement organizations nationwide are using this technology. Please visit Flocksafety.com to learn more about License Plate Recognition technology.
