Pine Bluff Arsenal veteran honored by U.S. Army

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Larry Wright, a dedicated employee of Pine Bluff Arsenal for nearly four decades, has received significant recognition for his commendable service. He was recently inducted into the prestigious U.S. Army Joint Munitions Command Ammunition Hall of Fame in a ceremony on September 12.

Having held the distinguished title of deputy to the commander, the top civilian position at Pine Bluff Arsenal, for two decades, Wright’s contribution has been monumental. His induction ceremony took place at the Joint Munitions Command Headquarters located in Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois. The honor was bestowed upon him by the current deputy to the commander, Roch Byrne, at the Arsenal’s main office.

Beginning his illustrious career as an engineering student trainee, Wright’s dedication and commitment saw him ascend the ranks, culminating in his role as deputy to the commander. A remarkable tenure of 37 years at the arsenal stands as a testament to his dedication and significant contributions.

Although retired from his position at the arsenal, Wright’s expertise continues to benefit the community. He now serves as a consultant for the city of White Hall, further emphasizing his commitment to service and leadership.
